HotBox 60 Studio – 16 ohm

This is a Gen 1 HB60. It has a very mild reduction of 10:1 that ‘sounds like’ about 1/4 volume. It also has a line out for recording however, which is cool! I’d recommend this for mild reduction on a smaller amp so you can push it a bit harder. Even though it is 60w rated, it used to get hot enough to fry eggs with a bigger amp so I’d say stick to 30w or under. Don’t expect bedroom levels, but it does have a lovely transparent sound that retains the high end nicely and can make a far-too-loud amp merely enjoyably loud 🙂
